Everything seems so ‘sleek’ in the world today… from mobile phones, TV’S , Cars even furniture but sometimes you cannot recreate this contemporary look in older properties, quirky homes or you personally may not like the modern styles that are just everywhere you look!
We do sell a selection of contemporary furniture on our website and this is very popular, however we are best known for our Shabby Chic collections and you can be Chic without being too shabby!
Another bonus if you did go for a Shabby Chic design you wouldn’t need the funds to start from scratch, nor the upset and mess of everything being ripped out!
The kitchen is mostly the heart of anyone’s home and is possibly one of the easiest rooms to revamp.
We love our bordeaux french furniture
This furniture has a french farmhouse feel to it, which could easily be recreated in your home with your existing furniture.
If you have wooden furniture, clean down well and gently sand to remove the lacquer or stain off the wood, wash down again throughly, sugar soap is a good product to use. To replicate this design, you could use a pale cream paint and paint on solidly and distress afterwards using sandpaper or wire wool. For a more relaxed look, you could use water based paint and water it down further, this would make a lovely whitewash, and when used on a wooden top, gives the same look as our Bordeaux Table top.
Please do remember to seal your pieces of furniture after painting to save the colour and protect it again wear and tear. When you feel like a new revamp, simply repeat the process above and repaint another fabulous colour!
